That’s why programs like BerrySmart Fields are useful. It helps validate solutions, much like the field demos at FIRA. The growers don't have to trial all these things. They can just see them applied in the real world.”\nHe noted cost is also a barrier and mentioned Washington state’s Climate Smart Farm Equipment Grant. While applications are closed for 2026, the program will re-open in 2027.
