Job Offer – International Agricultural Robotics Projects & Development Manager (M/F)

GOFAR (Global Organization For Agricultural Robotics) is a French association under the 1901 law that operates internationally to accelerate the development and adoption of agricultural robotics. It brings together stakeholders in the sector – farmers, industries, startups, and researchers – to promote autonomous and sustainable solutions for the agriculture of tomorrow.

GOFAR is the originator of World FIRA, the leading event in agricultural robotics, which has been gathering industry leaders annually in Toulouse since 2016 to showcase the latest innovations and encourage exchanges between experts. The association also organizes FIRA USA in California, since 2022, focused on the North American market, and collaborates with many international agricultural fairs, such as EIMA in Italy, DEMOAGRO in Spain, and the Libramont Fair in Belgium, to structure and promote agricultural robotics worldwide.

Beyond organizing events, GOFAR engages in awareness-raising, networking, and technology monitoring, while supporting companies in the sector with their development.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Agronomy and Agroecology: A degree from an agricultural engineering school is preferred.
  • Agricultural Equipment: Knowledge of the market and trends in equipment and usage, especially related to precision farming.
  • Previous experience in precision agriculture and project management would be an asset.
  • Experience in participating in or organizing events is highly appreciated.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in project management tools.
  • Languages: A very good level of English is required; bilingualism is a plus. Knowledge of an additional language (Italian, Spanish, German, etc.) would be an advantage.

As part of its development, the GOFAR association is looking to recruit its future International Agricultural Robotics Projects & Development Manager, who will be responsible for the following tasks:

FIRA EVENTS (Europe, North America, and Oceania):

  • Management, coordination, and facilitation of on-field machine demonstrations, in collaboration with local teams: technical follow-up of demo plots, management of manufacturers, and technical presentations.
  • Support in defining programming and content.
  • Assistance in developing strategic targets.
  • Support in the commercialization of robots and solutions with manufacturers.
  • Coordination of the Educ Tour program: hosting delegations for technical and customized visits.
  • Organizing demo tours, including logistical coordination of farm visits in Europe and California.
  • Monitoring and coordination of local institutional partnerships.
  • Support in developing commercialization offers for the pavilion.

GOFAR: COLLABORATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Searching for European projects, responding to and following up as necessary.
  • Prospecting for international trade shows to establish collaborations.
  • Monitoring collaborations: programming, promoting the commercial offer, and onsite facilitation.
  • Conducting user interviews and initial market studies.
  • Directory: creating technical sheets for robots.
  • Development of the association’s offers.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Employer: GOFAR Association
  • Contract: Permanent contract – executive position
  • Working hours: 218 days annually / annual forfait
  • Annual salary: €40,000 gross (+ performance bonus, health insurance, and telecommuting allowance)
  • Contract start: As soon as possible
  • Location: Primarily remote, with travel in France and abroad expected (Europe, United States, Australia) on an average of three days per month.
