Functionalities and technologies
- Core Functionality : The BrimaPack Endeavor is a triple (wide) bed automated harvesting and packaging rig for cos and Little gem lettuce varieties for the fresh market. The system autonomously guides itself over the crop, and adapts to each bed individually for the optimal cutting height. Full electric servo controlled drives for accurate speed and steering control. Autonomous steering during harvesting. Full electric cutting knifes (lifters) adaptive level control (servo control) for maintaining the preset level to the individual plant beds. Full electric digitally controlled logistics enabling continuous variable speed control. IIoT providing field data to the main office for real-time production control and future farm/crop strategy (production numbers, yield, GPS position, operating state etc.).
- Software : Integration of machine vision for enhanced accuracy of the lifters adaptive closed loop level control. Additional automation to eliminate further manual handling/and quality control.
- Connectivity : • Remote monitoring of production status and performance. • Remote service and diagnostics. • Automatic upload into the cloud, making (yield, production and up-time) data available to your farm management program. • The yield data which is made available can be used for fertiliser, agrochemical usage and irrigation optimisation/reduction.
- Compatible Tools : N/A
Development Roadmap
- Next phase : Fully automatic harvesting of iceberg lettuce.
