Functionalities and technologies

  • Core Functionality : The RoboWeeder uses Niqo Sense, the company’s proprietary AI camera technology, to identify plants in real time and activate individual spray nozzles. It offers high-precision target weeding, with the ability to apply two chemicals simultaneously to target weeds and/or beneficially spray crops. It can perform three operations in a single pass: weed unwanted plants, thin excess crop plants and apply beneficial products. The system supports up to eight crop lines and includes dedicated nozzles for weeding, thinning and beneficial spraying. It can handle acids, fertilisers, herbicides and beneficial products. It operates at a maximum speed of 6 km/h | 4 mph, with a recommended speed of 5 km/h | 3 mph, and requires a tractor equipped with a Category II three-point hitch, at least 50 hp and 160 bar of hydraulic pressure. The operator can control the system via the Niqo View dashboard, while Niqo Track provides remote monitoring of fleet and field operations.
  • Software : Edge computing, Vision Processing Unit, GPS, Laser height detection
  • Connectivity : Data connectivity - not required to operate; required for data collection and updates. A dedicated base station is not needed.
  • Compatible Tools : Weeding
