Performance & Economic Impact
- Estimated ROI :
The output of 1 robot (= 1 line) is 12,000 plants/hour. This means that one
robot of the Agriplanter does the job of a 2 line manual transplanter. A 4 row
Agriplanter could replace 8 to 10 people who would transplant manually. This occurs with only 1 tractor driver and 1 person in the back putting the trays in the robot. Standard speed of Broccoli transplanting in Europe is around 4 to 6 km/h. - Phytosanitary Product Savings :

Technical specifications
- Type of solution : Automated transplanters and seeders
- Power source : Fuel, requires tractor pulling the machine - PTO
- Required Tractor Power : 30 to 170 HP -Only PTO required, the machine is independent of the tractor and works on 24V.
- Size :
- Metric: 2 row (=2 robots) machine: 652 x 250 x 240 cm, 6 row (6 robots) machine: 630 x 822 x 377
- Imperial: 2 row (=2 robots) machine: 257 x 99 x 94 inches, 6 row (6 robots) machine: 248 x 324 x 148 inches
- Net weight : 2-row: 2,440 kg (5,379 lb) — 6-row: 8,650 kg (19,070 lb)
- Min Farm Size (In hectares) : 30 ha (74.1 acres)
- Productivity : 3–32 ha/day (7.41–79.1 acres/day)
- Maximum operating speed : 8 km/h (4.97 mph)
- Wheel spacing : Adjustable: 1.5 to 3 m (59.1 in – 118.1 in)
- Horse power : Depending on the size of the machine: 60 (2 row) to 170 HP (6 row)
Functionalities and technologies
- Core Functionality : Low pressure hydraulic, if a tray is not positioned well, it will just stop to prevent trays from breaking or bending things. 1 cycles is 5 seconds, so every 5 seconds the machine takes a full line of plants out of the tray. The machine uses trays up to 34 cells per row.
- Software : Tray sensor to check if there is a tray present. Plant sensor to check if there is a plant/plug present. No camera systems mounted yet, this will come in the future.
- Connectivity :
- Compatible Tools : More than 100 different trays are compatible with the robot
Development Roadmap
- Next phase : Telematics, follow up and reading out fault errors on the machines around the world
